Well, my first novel is about to be released shortly, and so I thought I might start writing a bit about it. First off, thank you so much to everyone who has supported me up to this point. This novel has been part of my heart for quite a few years, and I thank you so much for helping me–and insisting–that I keep writing.

One of my very dear friends, Talia, is a like a big sister to me–with all that means, both good and irritating. Sometimes we don’t see eye-to-eye, but she is always looking out for me. I had been complaining about my latest attempt to go back to school–I thought getting a Ph.D might be a good thing. But she looked at me and said–why is it that you go out of your way to avoid writing, when it’s so important to you? Only Talia could have said that, in such a way, that was simultaneously frustrating and motivating. It stopped me in my tracks and firmly put me on a path to walk the walk of a writer.

I’ll be writing about stuff like that, along with some insights and thoughts on the book–and maybe, just maybe, adding in some parts I like that I had to leave out of the main narrative.
